40 years old on average, mainly planted to goblet system.
Atlantic continental type with cold winters and hot summers, and many sunshine hours. Important thermal gaps between day and night during the ripening phase.
An Annual rainfall of about 400 mm.
Grape selection at the vineyard. Harvest takes place in the fourth week of September. The length of pre-fermentation maceration is 2-3 days. Fermentation runs at 24-26ºC (75-78ºF). Maceration lasts 15 days with daily pumpovers. Oxidative ageing lasts 14 days in 60% of French oak barrels and in 40% of American oak barrels. Bottle reducing ageing lasts 8 months.
Good depth, with cherry colour rims.
Exquisite varietal expression, with red fruit and liquorice that are well assembled with spicy, toast and chocolate nuances.
Elegant and unctuous fleshiness, fresh and luscious. Round and balance as well.
